Accomplished advocate with a strong background in litigation. He has experience of practice in Supreme Court of India, High Courts, Tribunals and Commissions. He has done M.A. in Economics and LL.B. He has diverse experience, inter alia, in Right to Information, Criminal Laws, Family Laws, Environment Laws, Labour Laws, Right to Education, Health Rights, Right to Food and other human rights issues. He has also authored a book titled “Leading Cases on Right to Information Act”. His article on "Right to Information in Judiciary" has also been published in the book titled "Milestone 7 (Journey of RTI ACT)". This book contains articles from various contributors who have rich experience in the field of right to information and is published on the occasion of seven years of Right to Information Act in India by Yashwantrao Chavan Academy of Development Administration (YASHADA), Pune.

‚ÄčHe has successfully argued the case “Central Board of Secondary Education and another versus Aditya Bandopadhyay and Others (2011(8)SCALE645: (2011)8SCC497)” before Supreme Court of India where the Court interpreted the provisions of the Act to the effect that no exemptions under the Right to Information Act would apply in cases where disclosure of evaluated answer-sheet is sought. In this case, the Court also interpreted the term “Fiduciary Relationship”.

He has been associated with Parivartan, Public Cause Research Foundation (PCRF), Joint Operation for Social Help (JOSH) and many other NGOs.

He has also been associated with Human Rights Law Network at its Delhi office and held senior position in litigation team. He was also responsible for Right to Information initiative at the organisation. He has also been the resource person in various training programmes for different groups, inter alia, Advocates, Activists, grass-root workers and lay men on various issues of Right to Information, local self-governance, Right to Food and other social legislations.
