Child Rights

Although India has a large number of laws to protect and promote the rights of children, children’s concerns are viewed primarily as a welfare issue, rather an issue of rights. There are concerns and issues of child labour, child trafficking, right to education, child health and nutrition, child marriages, juvenile justice, child sexual abuse, torture and abuse of children.

In order to protect the rights of children and also to ensure that every child is given an opportunity and atmosphere to develop, we undertake various activities including training of and interaction with children and youth, filing and defending cases in High Courts and Supreme Court of India to protect the child rights. We also undertake cases in Juvenile Justice Boards and Child Welfare Committees.
