Women’s Rights

Woman, the very creation of God that makes living beautiful is often at the receiving end of trauma. Women are still treated as a lesser person. Much to their surprise women are not even aware that they have any rights in a man’s world. While some are treated as slaves in their adulthood, most don’t even enjoy a childhood.

Our intervention involves not only the prevention of specific forms of violence and discrimination against women, but also encompasses all other human rights, including the right to food and health, disability, housing labour rights, dalit/ tribal/ adivasi rights, environmental justice, criminal justice, etc. With this holistic vision of equality and gender justice, the lawyers at “The Jaipuriars” work directly with poor and marginalized women as well as through legal education, advocacy and policy analysis to continue the struggle for women's rights.
